Description
The Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2 is a premium, beautifully crafted Corona-sized cigar from Davidoff’s iconic “White Band” collection. The blend itself has historical roots, serving as the direct successor to Zino Davidoff’s original Chateau Series from 1946, which was deeply inspired by the sophistication and assembly of fine Bordeaux wines.
Because of its slightly longer Corona shape, the No. 2 utilizes a higher density of tobacco (specifically incorporating a bit more Piloto and Ligero leaves) to give the traditional Grand Cru flavor profile a touch more depth and spice without overpowering the smoker.

Flavor Profile & Taste Experience
The Grand Cru line is defined by its cultivated, refined, and highly aromatic profile. The No. 2 delivers a creamy, sophisticated smoke characterized by a few distinct transitions:
-
Primary Notes: Dominant flavors of rich oak wood, earth, and a distinct nuttiness (reminiscent of hazelnut or toasted almonds).
-
Secondary Nuances: Subtle undertones of fresh baking spices, licorice, and a light floral quality.
-
Finish: Smooth, clean, and balanced with an aroma of aged tobacco and a creamy mouthfeel.
Perfect Pairings
True to its wine-inspired heritage, the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2 is famously engineered to pair exceptionally well with Bordeaux wines that feature flavorful tannins, or any red wine aged in oak barrels. Because of its approachable mellow-to-medium body, it is a quintessential cigar for an apéro riche (a sophisticated happy hour), a late afternoon break, or following a lighter lunch.
